CINIA a conclu avec succès sa série de sessions hebdomadaires AI Toolkit Break, une initiative portée par le Centre visant à accompagner la communauté enseignante dans l’intégration des outils d’intelligence artificielle dans leurs pratiques pédagogiques.
La dernière séance, organisée le mardi 24 mars de 12h30 à 13h et ayant réuni plus de soixante membres de la communauté de l’USJ, a été animée par Madame Wadad Wazen Gergy, Directrice du CINIA et Ambassadrice NUMŪ à l’USJ, avec la participation de Madame Nour Fayad, Responsable nationale du programme des compétences en intelligence artificielle et en numérique au Ministère de la Technologie et de l’Intelligence Artificielle (MITAI).
Cette initiative stratégique vise à renforcer les compétences numériques et en intelligence artificielle à l’échelle nationale, en fédérant universités, institutions et partenaires technologiques autour d’une vision commune, en phase avec les priorités nationales et les besoins évolutifs du pays.
Au cours de cette session de clôture, Madame Wazen Gergy a mis en lumière les opportunités offertes par le programme NUMŪ à la communauté universitaire, tout en annonçant le lancement, à l’USJ, de la plateforme Microsoft Learn, désormais accessible gratuitement aux enseignants. Cette initiative marque une avancée concrète dans le développement professionnel continu du corps enseignant, en mettant à leur disposition des ressources de formation en ligne de haute qualité, adaptées aux enjeux contemporains de l’enseignement et de l’innovation pédagogique.
À travers ce parcours de formation, les enseignants pourront approfondir leur compréhension des concepts fondamentaux de l’intelligence artificielle et de son intégration dans les environnements éducatifs, en mettant l’accent sur l’usage des outils d’intelligence artificielle générative, notamment Microsoft Copilot, ainsi que sur l’adoption de pratiques d’intelligence artificielle responsable. Ce parcours leur permettra également de développer des contenus pédagogiques innovants et d’explorer des applications concrètes visant à enrichir les expériences d’enseignement et d’apprentissage.
Cette séance de clôture vient ainsi consolider le positionnement de l’USJ comme acteur clé de la transformation numérique et de l’intégration réfléchie de l’intelligence artificielle dans l’enseignement supérieur au Liban. À travers des initiatives telles que les AI Toolkit Break et son engagement actif dans le programme NUMŪ, l’université confirme sa volonté de préparer durablement sa communauté aux défis et aux opportunités de l’ère numérique.
Les retours des huit séances ont été très positifs, témoignant de l’intérêt et de l’engagement de la communauté enseignante. Les participants ont également exprimé leurs besoins et attentes pour les prochaines sessions, contribuant ainsi à orienter les futures initiatives du CINIA.
Dans la continuité de cette dynamique, le CINIA poursuivra ses actions d’accompagnement et de formation afin de soutenir l’innovation pédagogique et le renforcement des compétences numériques au sein de l’USJ.

CINIA successfully concluded its series of weekly AI Toolkit Break sessions, an initiative led by the Center to support the teaching community in integrating artificial intelligence tools into their pedagogical practices.
The final session, held on Tuesday, March 24 from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m., brought together more than sixty members of the USJ community. It was led by Mrs. Wadad Wazen Gergy, Director of CINIA and NUMŪ Ambassador at USJ, with the participation of Ms. Nour Fayad, National AI & Digital Skills Program Leader at the Ministry of Technology and Artificial Intelligence (MITAI).
This strategic initiative aims to strengthen digital and artificial intelligence competencies at the national level by bringing together universities, institutions, and technology partners around a shared vision aligned with national priorities and the country’s evolving needs.
During this closing session, Mrs. Wazen Gergy highlighted the opportunities offered by the NUMŪ program to the university community, while also announcing the launch of the Microsoft Learn platform at USJ, now freely accessible to faculty members. This initiative represents a concrete step forward in the continuous professional development of the teaching staff, providing them with high-quality online training resources tailored to contemporary challenges in education and pedagogical innovation.
Through this learning pathway, faculty members will be able to deepen their understanding of the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence and its integration into educational environments. Particular emphasis is placed on the use of generative AI tools, notably Microsoft Copilot, as well as on the adoption of responsible AI practices. This pathway will also enable them to develop innovative teaching materials and explore practical applications aimed at enriching teaching and learning experiences.
This closing session further reinforces USJ’s positioning as a key actor in digital transformation and in the thoughtful integration of artificial intelligence in higher education in Lebanon. Through initiatives such as the AI Toolkit Break and its active engagement in the NUMŪ program, the University reaffirms its commitment to sustainably preparing its community for the challenges and opportunities of the digital era.
Feedback from the eight sessions was highly positive, reflecting the strong interest and engagement of the teaching community. Participants also shared their needs and expectations for upcoming sessions, helping to shape CINIA’s future initiatives.
Building on this momentum, CINIA will continue its support and training initiatives to foster pedagogical innovation and strengthen digital competencies within USJ.
