Le Centre de l’innovation numérique et de l’intelligence artificielle (CINIA) a lancé avec succès, mardi 3 février 2026, la toute première session de AI Toolkit Break, un nouveau format court et dynamique dédié aux usages pédagogiques de l’intelligence artificielle. Plus de 50 participants – enseignants, référents numériques et membres de la communauté académique – ont répondu présents à ce premier rendez-vous en ligne, témoignant d’un vif intérêt pour des outils concrets, accessibles et immédiatement mobilisables dans l’enseignement.

La séance d’ouverture a été marquée par le mot d’accueil de la Directrice du CINIA, Madame Wadad Wazen Gergy, qui a rappelé l’esprit de cette initiative : proposer, chaque mardi et jusqu’au 31 mars 2026, une pause techno-pédagogique de 30 minutes pour découvrir un outil d’IA, l’expérimenter, en discuter les usages et en comprendre les limites. AI Toolkit Break se veut ainsi un « café d’idées autour de l’IA » : rapide, convivial, inspirant et résolument pratique, sans prérequis techniques, afin d’avancer pas à pas, un outil à la fois.

Fidèle à cette approche participative, la session a débuté par un sondage interactif invitant les participants à partager les outils d’IA qu’ils utilisent déjà et qu’ils recommanderaient à leurs collègues. Cette démarche collaborative permet au CINIA de rester au plus près des besoins du terrain et de co-construire, avec la communauté, des sessions toujours plus pertinentes et utiles.

La parole a ensuite été donnée à M. Mario Gharib, qui a animé la première démonstration de cette série. Sa présentation a porté sur une fonctionnalité « Create » de Microsoft Copilot permettant de convertir une présentation PowerPoint en vidéo de manière automatisée. À travers une démonstration claire et structurée, il a présenté le fonctionnement de l’outil, ses principales limites, notamment en matière d’animations ou de gestion multilingue, ainsi que ses usages pédagogiques possibles, allant de la classe inversée à l’enseignement hybride et en ligne, en passant par des approches favorisant l’accessibilité et l’inclusivité.

Ce premier AI Toolkit Break a ainsi posé les bases d’un rendez-vous hebdomadaire appelé à devenir un espace d’échange, de veille et d’expérimentation autour de l’IA éducative. CINIA se réjouit de l’enthousiasme et des retours très encourageants suscités par cette première session et donne d’ores et déjà rendez-vous à la communauté pour les prochaines découvertes d’outils, toujours au service d’un enseignement plus innovant, plus inclusif et plus efficace.

The Center for Digital Innovation and Artificial Intelligence (CINIA) successfully launched, on Tuesday, 3 February 2026, the very first session of AI Toolkit Break, a new short and dynamic format dedicated to the pedagogical uses of artificial intelligence. More than 50 participants, including faculty members, digital education referents, and members of the academic community, joined this inaugural online session, reflecting strong interest in practical, accessible tools that can be immediately integrated into teaching practices.

The opening session was marked by welcoming remarks from the Director of CINIA, Ms. Wadad Wazen Gergy, who recalled the spirit of this initiative: to offer, every Tuesday until March 31, 2026, a 30-minute techno-pedagogical break dedicated to discovering an AI tool, experimenting with it, discussing its uses, and understanding its limitations. AI Toolkit Break is designed as a “coffee break for AI ideas”—quick, friendly, inspiring, and above all highly practical. No technical expertise is required, as the goal is to move forward step by step, one tool at a time.

Staying true to this participatory approach, the session began with an interactive poll inviting participants to share the AI tools they already use and would recommend to their colleagues. This collaborative process enables CINIA to remain closely aligned with real-world needs and to co-design, together with the community, sessions that are increasingly relevant and impactful.

The floor was then given to Mr. Mario Gharib, who led the first demonstration of the series. His presentation focused on a feature of Microsoft Copilot “Create” that allows users to automatically convert a PowerPoint presentation into a video. Through a clear and well-structured demonstration, he explained how the tool works, highlighted its main limitations—particularly regarding animations and multilingual management—and explored its potential pedagogical applications, ranging from flipped classrooms and hybrid or online learning to approaches that promote accessibility and inclusivity.

This first AI Toolkit Break thus laid the foundation for a weekly series set to become a space for exchange, exploration, and experimentation around educational AI. CINIA welcomes the enthusiasm and very encouraging feedback generated by this first session and already looks forward to meeting the community again for upcoming tool discoveries, always in the service of more innovative, inclusive, and effective teaching.
