As part of its commitment to digital transformation and educational innovation, Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ), through the Center for Digital Innovation and Artificial Intelligence (CINIA) and the Information Technology Department (IT Department), supported USJ Dubai in organizing a fully online entrance exam for applicants wishing to pursue law studies.
Held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, the exam brought together more than 400 applicants, who were invited to connect remotely and take their assessment in a digital environment designed to ensure the smooth running of the exam and provide all participants with the best possible access conditions.
Preparing for this large-scale operation required close coordination between USJ Dubai, CINIA, and the IT Department, both from a technical perspective and in terms of supporting prospective students. Particular attention was given to preparing applicants in advance and familiarizing them with the tools and procedures involved in taking the online exam.
Online training sessions were therefore organized to introduce applicants to the digital environment, guide them through the different login steps, and explain the instructions to be followed on the day of the exam. Applicants were also given the opportunity to take a practice test, allowing them to verify their access to the platform, become familiar with how it works, and identify any potential technical difficulties ahead of the actual exam.
This progressive preparation was an essential step in ensuring a smooth and secure experience for applicants and minimizing the challenges associated with a fully remote assessment process, particularly in the context of an exam conducted simultaneously for several hundred participants.
Through this initiative, CINIA and the IT Department reaffirm their role in supporting USJ’s various entities in deploying digital solutions tailored to their needs. Their collaboration with USJ Dubai also demonstrates the University’s ability to mobilize its technological and educational expertise in support of its different campuses, both in Lebanon and internationally.
Beyond the organization of an entrance exam, this experience reflects USJ’s commitment to developing reliable, accessible digital solutions adapted to evolving methods of teaching and assessment. It marks another step toward strengthening a connected university capable of supporting its students from their very first interaction with the institution and throughout their academic journey.
