As part of the international scientific symposium on the role of educational institutions in the construction of human capital in the 21st century, held on April 20, 2022, Dr.Helena Saade, Project Manager at UNTE presented a communication entitled " Harmonization of the Arabic Terminology in Distance Learning Toward a Better Communication”. In her presentation, Dr. Saade explained how the recent pandemic has contributed to changing many practices, policies and behaviors at all levels including the educational sector. In order to limit the spread of the virus, the educational institutions went from in-person teaching and learning to distance learning. In this context, the research aims to develop a booklet that includes the terminology used in in-person teaching and in distance learning to promote a common educational culture.
Given this statement of principle, the research carries out these analyses through answering the following research questions: How to ensure effective communication between the various actors in Higher Education? It turns out that the specialized Arabic terminology in the field of education differs from one institution to another when expressing the same concept, which is mainly due to the absence of reference, that provides the adequate Arabic equivalent of the required concept.
