The University Council endorsed in its meeting of June 23, 2021 a proposal to provide Online Training on hybrid learning in 2021-2022.
Accordingly, a series of training courses for teachers and administrative staff were offered by UNTE and Information Technology Service (STI) department from July 26 to 30. Ms. Wadad Wazen Gergy, Head of the New Technologies Unit, led a training session on July 27, 2021 entitled "Adapting gradually to hybrid teaching model with a focus on teaching courses’ structuring, activities planning, class facilitation and student engagement”. In turn, Mr. Mario Gharib, Administrator of educational platforms, led a training session on July 28, 2021 entitled “Moodle workshop” focused on setting up teachers in their Moodle space, sharing resources and creating Forums.
In his statement after the training, the university’s Rector urged teachers to access the “Support Guide to Distance Learning” www.usj.edu.lb/enseignement-a-distance. This guide is designed to support teachers to develop content and deliver quality hybrid education.
