On January 26th and 27th, Wadad Wazen Gergy, Head of the New Educational Technologies Unit (UNTE), attended a training workshop on Skills Assessment at the Innovation and Sport Campus from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The workshop was organized by the University Pedagogical Mission of Saint-Joseph University of Beirut and was designed to give those responsible for assessing skills and all teachers in the university community practical tools for carrying out this evaluation. These tools were presented during the Exchange Meetings.

L’évaluation des compétences dans l’enseignement supérieur est d’une importance capitale pour l’UNTE. Elle permet aux institutions de l’USJ d’évaluer le niveau de connaissances et de compétences que les étudiants ont atteint, supporte les enseignants pour mieux comprendre les forces et les faiblesses de leurs étudiants et de leur fournir les commentaires nécessaires pour arriver à leur plein potentiel.

Assessing skills in higher education is of paramount importance to UNTE. It allows USJ institutions to gauge the level of knowledge and skills that students have attained, enabling educators to better understand their students’ strengths and weaknesses and providing them with the necessary feedback to reach their full potential.
