Based on the decision of the University's Executive Board of March 2021, the UNTE was assigned to produce an assessment of the "Situation of remote evaluations at USJ" in collaboration with the Vice Rectorate for Academic Affairs.
As part of this action, a discussion session was organized on best practices for monitoring remote learning. This meeting brought together representatives of faculties and institutions of the University that have practical experiences in remote assessment and have set up remote monitoring systems.
Following this session, all materials including discussions, recommendations, good practices and description of the various devices tested at the University were published on Les modalités d’évaluations à distance accessible only to the USJ community.

Although some institutions have implemented a remote monitoring approach to limit cheating, still this technique has not eliminated the risk. Technically, it is more efficient to change the evaluation modality by integrating authentic situations of evaluation, redefining the test, combining several modalities (written, oral). This change will not be easy, it will take time and energy.
