As part of the 12th General Assembly of the Conference of Rectors in the Middle East Region (CONFREMO), a scientific day, entitled "What digital strategy for universities?" was organized on December 1 and 2, 2019, at the University of Alexandria, in Egypt with the support of the Francophone University Association- Agence universitaire de la francophonie AUF.This meeting, which brought together some sixty participants from Cyprus, Iraq, Jordan, France, Egypt and Lebanon, focused on the challenges that universities face in the digital revolution, and enabled fruitful exchanges between leaders of member of establishments.
The intervention of Mrs. Wadad Wazen Gergy, Head of UNTE, entitled “How to strengthen ICT adoption and measure its efficacy in a university setting? focused on the evaluation of practicality of digital tools by university teachers.
Mrs. Wazen referred to a model from the management field to present a tool that allows institutions to diagnose the progress of change through the use of digital technology, to identify the necessary improvements and to choose the most appropriate strategy to strengthen its use and ensure sustainability.
