Dans un monde en perpétuelle évolution technologique, le Centre de l’innovation numérique et de l’intelligence artificielle (CINIA) de l’Université Saint-Joseph (USJ) confirme son rôle clé en tant que passerelle entre l’éducation, la recherche et les technologies émergentes. Fidèle à sa mission de promouvoir l’innovation dans le milieu académique, CINIA a entamé l’année 2025 avec succès en organisant deux ateliers de formation qui ont réuni plus de 100 enseignants-chercheurs.

Ces formations, qui se sont tenues les 14 et 16 janvier 2025 de 9h00 à 12h00 à la Salle Polyvalente du CSH (5ᵉ étage), ont été animées par Madame Wadad Wazen Gergy, directrice du CINIA. Elles étaient spécialement conçues pour fournir aux enseignants-chercheurs des outils pratiques permettant d’intégrer efficacement l’intelligence artificielle (IA) dans leurs activités académiques professionnelles.

Des thématiques enrichissantes pour des pratiques innovantes

Les sessions ont été axées sur deux volets principaux :

1. 1. Maîtriser l’ingénierie des prompts : exploiter l’IA générative pour l’enseignement et la recherche

Les participants ont découvert les fondamentaux de l’ingénierie des prompts, une compétence essentielle pour tirer parti des outils d’intelligence artificielle générative et concevoir des prompts adaptés aux besoins pédagogiques et de recherche, en tenant compte des opportunités et des limites des modèles d’IA. Cette introduction a permis d’illustrer comment ces technologies peuvent transformer la manière d’aborder les processus d’apprentissage et de recherche.

2. Optimiser le flux de travail du chercheur : contributions des outils d’IA

Cet atelier a exploré des solutions d’IA conçues pour accompagner les chercheurs dans leurs tâches quotidiennes, leur permettant ainsi de gagner en efficacité et en précision dans leurs travaux. Le travail de groupe pour l’exploration des outils de l’IA et l’échange pour la mise en commun des spécificités de chaque outil afin de pouvoir l’intégrer dans le travail du chercheur ont abouti à l’élaboration d’une liste de recommandations pour un usage éthique et responsable des outils de l’IA.

Avec une participation dépassant les attentes, ces deux jours de formation ont été marqués par une interactivité accrue et des échanges fructueux. Les participants ont apprécié le choix des thèmes abordés, soulignant l’impact direct de ces outils sur leurs méthodes d’enseignement et de recherche.

Un engagement renouvelé pour l’innovation académique

En initiant de telles formations, le CINIA démontre une fois de plus son engagement à créer un environnement où la technologie et la créativité humaine s’allient au service de la communauté éducative tout en mettant l’accent sur le développement des compétences des enseignants-chercheurs. Ces initiatives soulignent la nécessité du renforcement des compétences numériques des enseignants-chercheurs tout en témoignant de l’engagement de l’USJ à intégrer les technologies numériques et d’intelligence artificielle dans l’éducation et la recherche, grâce à une approche participative essentielle pour surmonter la résistance au changement.

In a world of constant technological evolution, the Center for Digital Innovation and Artificial Intelligence (CINIA) at Saint Joseph University (USJ) reaffirms its pivotal role as a bridge between education, research, and emerging technologies. Staying true to its mission of promoting innovation in academia, CINIA successfully began 2025 by organizing two training workshops that brought together more than 100 teacher-researchers.

Held on January 14 and 16, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Multipurpose Hall at CSH (5th floor), these workshops were led by Mrs. Wadad Wazen Gergy, Director of CINIA. They were specifically designed to equip teacher-researchers with practical tools for effectively integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into their academic activities.

Enriching Topics for Innovative Practices

The sessions focused on two key areas:

1. Mastering Prompt Engineering: Leveraging Generative AI for Teaching and Research

Participants were introduced to the fundamentals of prompt engineering, a critical skill for utilizing generative artificial intelligence tools effectively. They learned how to design prompts tailored to pedagogical and research needs, while also understanding the opportunities and limitations of AI models. This introduction demonstrated how these technologies can transform approaches to learning and research processes.

2. Optimizing the Research Workflow: Contributions of AI Tools

This workshop explored AI solutions designed to support researchers in their daily tasks, enabling them to improve efficiency and precision in their work. Group activities facilitated the exploration of AI tools and the sharing of insights into their specific features. These discussions culminated in the development of recommendations for the ethical and responsible use of AI tools in research.
